Wayne Lin
Violin

Wayne Lin is currently pursuing a graduate degree in violin performance at the Yale School of Music under the tutelage of Peter Oundjian. A native of Green Bay, WI, Mr. Lin has done various performances and radio broadcasts throughout Wisconsin and won numerous prizes at competitions throughout the Midwest. He has appeared as a soloist with the symphonies of Green Bay, Fox Valley, Milwaukee, and the Martinu Philharmonic in the Czech Republic. This past winter Mr. Lin performed the Prokofiev Violin Concerto No. 2 in G Minor numerous times throughout Europe. He has also served as a member of the Green Bay Symphony as well as concertmaster of its youth symphony and has served as concertmaster with the Juilliard Symphony, the Yale Philharmonia and the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra. His orchestral experience has led him to serve under the batons of a cornucopia of leading conductors, including Roberto Abbado, James Conlon, James De Priest, Seiji Ozawa, Andre Previn, Andrew Litton, Robert Spano, Sir Roger Norrington, Geoffrey Tate and Pierre Boulez. Summer programs he has attended include the Colorado College Music Festival, Music Academy of the West, Tanglewood and the Aspen Music Festival. Mr. Lin received his Bachelor's degree in 2003 from the Juilliard School as a student of Glenn Dicterow. He is currently a member of the New Haven Symphony.
